Old Lake Highlands Neighborhood Profile
Old Lake Highlands neighborhood was established in 1948 and consists of approximately 1,700 homes. It is bounded by Northwest Hwy (Hwy 78) on the North, Easton rd on the East, Lake Highlands Drive on the south, and Buckner Blvd (Loop 12) on the West. It is less than a half mile from the shores of White Rock Lake and approximately 11 miles from downtown Dallas.
This neighborhood has a very active neighborhood association and a strong sense of community. The neighborhood association sponsors Volunteers in Patrol (VIP), local elementary school fund raisers, an Adopt-A-Shoreline group for White Rock lake, and a yard of the month award. Architectural styles primarily consist of traditional ranch style homes with a smattering of Tudors, mid-century modern, and Colonial revival style homes.
